Sustainably manage forest, combat desertification,
halt and reverse land degradation, halt biodiversity loss
Hitachi Rail works to maintain the flora and fauna heritage unaltered and to preserve biodiversity in the areas adjacent to its plants.
▪ The plant of Tito Scalo, in Italy, is among the Sites of National Interest (SIN) – Tito Scalo Lake of Pantano (Pignola). ▪ The plant of North Pole is located adjacent to The Wormwood Scrubs – Local Nature Reserve (LNR).
Both plants have UNI EN ISO 14001 Environmental certification and Tito Scalo also has EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) registration.
For the purpose of preserving biodiversity, the activity carried out by Hitachi Rail is irrelevant and does not produce any kind of consequence.
